Dreamcatcher

First of all, how pathetic is it that when you google "dreamcatcher" the first thing that comes up its from paris hilton's hair products??...*sigh*

Anyway...Dreams have always been something mysterious. You can have dreams you are almost certain were true, dreams that make you wake up craving for something, dreams that make you want to go back to sleep just to see if you can go back to that mysterious piece of imagination. They can mean so much, an escape from the real world, a search for answers, or a reminder of something you'd conciously wouldnt want to face. (and beleive me, I've been there. Having the same dream over and over until you say "ok, ok I'll face it!")

But not all dreams are pleasant...enter, dreamcatchers. As said in Dream-catchers.org:

Native Americans believe that the night air is filled with dreams both good and bad. The dream catcher when hung over or near your bed swinging freely in the air, catches the dreams as they flow by. The good dreams know how to pass through the dream catcher, slipping through the outer holes and slide down the soft feathers so gently that many times the sleeper does not know that he/she is dreaming. The bad dreams not knowing the way get tangled in the dream catcher and perish with the first light of the new day.

So now...having the night free of bad dreams, I shall try to sleep.

After all its just about Karma! ...and some quotes hehe

First day of the year (I know the post will say its Jan 2, but hey until I go to sleep I wont say the day has changed ...hehe), so why not start with something deep and meaningful? (After listening over and over this song wouldnt you? Its stuck on my head, what can I say... "I know that I should let go, but I can't!", hehe)
So after a while browsing quotes online, and a other events I decided some things are not wars to be fought, nor battles ahead, its just plain Karma.

Karma, easily defined by: What you get is what you give...
Silly enough, when I think of karma there are two songs that always come to my mind...first Savage Garden's Affirmation, that said: "I beleive in Karma, what you give is what you get returned". ( lol, I was in middle school when I used to have this song stuck in my head instead of Kate Nash's Foundations hehe)

The second song that comes to my mind is John Lennon's Instant Karma. I just love that song, what it says and how it says it.

Se acabo el 2007...que puedo decir tuvo de todo, cosas buenas, malas, sorpresas, diversiones...
Despues de hacer un resumen de que fue el 2007 (y de andar de ociosa por la web viendo tendencias tipo twitter jijiji) salio el siguiente "poster".

Days before Chirstmas....

Ok, so after a minor (to you, cause this looks pretty much the same)- mayor (for me, 'cause it took some time to make everything look as it used to again) update on this blog, now there is twitter.

I've been using twitter for a few hours, but it seems to be addicting, you just add small msgs, rants and thoughts and let them get lost into the web.

Anyway, since I dont know if I'll update before Christmas here is my Christmas post...a Christmas Pug! LoL...all credits on being a pug go to Callie :) (and just for those wondering, yes I did get her a Xmas present, and not just a photoshop one...)

So...Merry Christmas, may all your dreams come true!

Ok, después de una pequeña (para uds porque esto se ve basicamente igual) gran (para mi, porque si tomo un poco de tiempo hacer que todo se viera de nuevo igual) actualización en este blog, ahora hay twitter.

He estado usando twiter por unas cuantas horas, pero parece ser adictivo. Solo agregar pequeños msgs, debrayes y dejar que se pierdan en la web.

En fin, como no se si actualice antes de Navidad, aquí está mi post Navideño...Un pug Navideño! jeje, todos los creditos de ser un pug van para Callie :) (Y para todos los que se pregunten si le compre un regalo de Navidad, y no solo uno photoshopeado jejeje)

Qué puedo decir, hay momentos en que uno dice:

WOW!... GRACIAS UNIVERSO!!!

Momentos en que lo irreal, lo que se ve en las películas ,sucede!!! Como diria el buen Johnny Rzeznik: "When everything feels like the movies..." jeje, pero esa es otra canción.
Me puedo poner a debrayar pensando desde que fue milagro guadalupano, hasta que la sincronicidad de este universo. Sigo en shock! Me inclino más por la sincronicidad, pero las acciones del universo no las juzgo jejeje. Es increible cuando pensamos en toda la serie de eventos en que se tuvieron que dar para que en un minuto todo lo del momento peliculezco se hiciera realidad.

Eso de que "no hay mal que por bien no venga", caray! hay que hacerle caso...jajaja. Ahora agradezco que:

• los taxistas estuvieran festejando a la virgen (mmm, quiza esa sea la parte del milagro guadalupano jajaja)
• ...y por eso decidieramos pedir un taxi de sitio (que iba a llegar muuuuy rápido en 20 minutos, o quiza 15!)
• ...y por lo anterior mandara al diablo al taxi de sitio y parara el primero que se viera decente
• Dicho taxista fuera con calma como domingo en Chapultepec, mientras iba cantando sus cumbias, y habia un zancudo amenazador en el techo!
• Las laaaargas caminatas de judio errante para llegar al Foro Sol
• Las mini pizzas que ahi venden
• ...y que me dieran una de peperoni diciendo que era Hawaianna
• Haber tenido boleto con entrada hasta el fondo! (Acceso 6)

Tooooodo eso tuvo que pasar, junto con un poco de magia (quizá entonces Lennon no estaba tan equivocado: " Dream, dream away...Magic in the air, was magic in the air?...I believe, yes I believe...More I cannot say, what more can I say?"...puedo decir WOW jeje) para que mi histeria de que fueran 8:45 (cuando el boleto decia que el concierto comenzaba a las 8:30) se viera transformada en shock!
¿En que momento me hubiera imaginado yo que un completo extraño, en shorts, hablando ingles me dijera que me iba a regalar boletos para la 2da fila?

Segun las noticias habia 32,500 personas....lo cual quiere decir que asi hubiera tenido 10 boletos la probablidad de ser uno de lo elegidos para recibir uno de esos era escaza...sin embargo (cual anuncio de porque se debe hablar inglés de [inserte el nombre de la compañía de clases de ingles de su elección]) se dio una conversación mas o menos asi:

Extraño de shorts: Do you speak english?
Yo: Yes...why?
Extraño de shorts: oh great! Im about to upgrade your ticket to 2nd row, what do you say?
Yo: ... *gasp!* how do I know this is for real? ( que puedo decir... no desconfiarían de alguien que ofrece algo así?! )
Extraño de shorts: its real, beleive me, take the tickets, they are free!
Yo: *gasp*

Así que, a tomar la oportunidad! jejeje, como diría el buen Sr. Joel:

Todavía continuó el shock cuando nos van diciendo que los boletos eran justo al centro de la 2da fila...increible..!! y al llegar al lugar, como magia, todo se obscurece y espectaculo comienza...

El concierto, WOW! Hace como 3 años sino es que mas...vi por ahi de las 3 am un especial donde contaba las historias de las canciones, y quedé fascinada...pues hoy se cumplieron todas las expectativas y más..!

Estar tan cerca que ves cuando le hace gestos a los músicos, y por otro lado apreciar la manera en que este señor toca el piano...WOW (jaja si mi vocabulario es muy amplio jajaja, pero sigo en shock!)




Hoy es uno de esos días en que uno dice...GRACIAS!, y piensa algo debo estar haciendo bien para que pasen estas cosas!! jeje...o en su defecto, hay que seguir por este camino, caray!

Realmente pienso... qué año!!...pero ya a 13 de diciembre...yo digo que esto no se acaba hasta que se acaba...! (Y por "esto" quiero decir el año 2007 jajaja, no estoy tan fatalista)

Así que universo...gracias! y...seguramente lo mejor, aún está por venir!

Into the night...

Me gusto como salió esto... ironicamente comenzó cuando estaba tratando de pensar en algo para "exceso" el tema de la semana de Illustration Friday, pero salió asi.
Aunque hay algunas nubes, se siente la calma, se siente bien. No así es la vida?


I liked the way this turned out...ironically it started when I was trying to think of something for "excess" (this weeks IF theme) but it came out like this.

Even though there are a few clouds it still feels calm, it feels ok. Aint life a little like that?
